Emily Kopp
Emily was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB, where she graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Religious Studies. During her time at UCSB, Emily studied Ecopsychology with renowned expert Dr. Lori Pye, and worked with the Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, assisting with native habitat restoration and nursery propagation.
In 2021, she interned at Sweet Mountaintop Farm, a small-scale organic herb and cut flower farm in Carpinteria, CA. During this internship, Emily discovered her love for medicinal herbalism and beautiful growing spaces.
After completing her degree, Emily completed additional coursework through the Santa Barbara City College horticulture program. She is also currently studying medicinal herbalism through the Herbal Academy online.
Emily is certified in both Permaculture Design and Ecological Landscape Design. When she's not in the garden, you can find her leading yoga classes, hanging out with her two cats, or reading.
